Mary McManus Taylor was born in Hinsdale, IL, She is married and has two children. She is a graduate of The Fashion Institute of New York City and received her J.D. from Nova University School of Law in Fort Lauderdale, FL. After graduating from law school in 1993, she worked for a firm in Boca Raton, primarily overseeing the sales of a real estate development project in Lake Worth, FL.
She presently is President and Partner in McManus and McManus, P.A. in Largo, founded by her grandfather, Fred McManus, in 1953. Mary is the third generation of the McManus & McManus Law Firm. Her practice consists of real estate transactions, estate planning, and elder law services. She is a Member Agent for Old Republic Title Insurance Company.
Mary is a member of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law and Elder Law sections of Florida Bar Association, and the Elder Law and Probate and Real Property Committees of the Clearwater Bar Association and the St. Petersburg Bar Association. She is a member of the Bay Area Real Estate Council. Mary is very active in the community with both business and civic organizations. She has served as president of the Downtown Largo Main Street Association and Partners N Progress; past Editor of the Downtown Largo Main Street News; was on the Board of the Central Pinellas Chamber of Commerce and Suncoast Performing Arts Foundation. She is past president of the Belleair Bluffs Civic Association, and Belleair Bluffs Professional Association. Mary received the Leaders for Learning Outstanding Award from the Largo Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber also bestowed upon her the Outstanding Chairman Award in 1996, and the Committee Chairman Award in 1997. The firm received the Small Business of the Year Award for 2000.
