R. Bruce McManus, MBA, JD

Attorney McManus was born in Chicago, IL, has been married for over 50 years and has three children and
twelve grandchildren.
He is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, and obtained a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering in 1957. After graduation and a short tour of duty in the U.S. Army, he worked for Mobil Oil in Texas, New Mexico and Venezuela. In 1962, he moved to Florida and attended Stetson University of Law, where he graduated at the top of his class in 1965. He joined his father, Fred J. McManus, who had been practicing in Belleair Bluffs since the mid-50s. The firm incorporated as McManus & McManus, P.A. in the late 60s, with Fred passing away in 1983. Bruce went on to the University of South Florida, obtaining his M.B.A. in 1982.
Bruce is a Florida Bar Board Certified Estate Planning and Probate Lawyer. His designated areas of
specialties are Trusts, Wills, and Estate Planning, Probate Administration, Real Estate Property Law and Corporations and Business Law.
Active in his community, Bruce is the Past President of the Pinellas County Estate Planning Council, Community Service Foundation, Partners N Progress, and the Florida Audubon Society. Bruce was instrumental in bringing the Largo Central Park and Cultural Center to fruition. He is a founding member of the Florida Botanical Gardens Foundation.
He is a member of the American Bar Association, Florida Bar Association, Clearwater Bar Association, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and the
Esperti Peterson Institute Masters Program.
His community and charitable affiliations are Indian Rocks Baptist Church, Hospice of the Florida Suncoast where he serves on the Board of Directors,
Largo Library Foundation and the American Red Cross.
